Male Namesakes

www.babynamewizard.com expert and one of my favorite authors Laura Wattenburg brought up an interesting point in her blog today--when honoring a male relative with a female namesake, what does one do with a stoutly male name? Joseph has Josephine; Charles has Charlotte; Daniel has Daniella....but what about all man names, like Benjamin, Wyatt, Kevin, or Aaron? You don't want to end up with names like Aaronisha, Joshlyn, or Kevina!

Here are some of my suggestions to get your mind working:

Adam: Eve; Adamaris; Adamina
Austin: Austin is a female name in and of itself

Bemjamin: Bennett; Benson
Brandon: Brandy; Branwyn
Chase: Chasity; Chasen; Chassidy
Colton: Colista; Colt
Connor: Connor; Conley
Ethan: Ethereal
Gavin: Gavina; Gavyn
Ian: Ianna; Ianthe
Isaac: Isabelle/Isabella; Isadora
Jackson: Jaclyn; Jacoba
Joshua: Joss; Josie; Joslyn

Kevin: Keira
Landon: Lane; Lana; Langley
Lucas: Luca
Owen: Owena
Wyatt: Wynne; Wylie
